The latest

Recent projects that are completed:

  • Process mining for healthcare cost: Toward value-based care using cost mining: cost aggregation and visualization across the entire colorectal cancer patient pathway
  • Colorectal cancer cost in Australia: Effects of clinical and socioeconomic factors on Medicare and patient costs for colorectal cancer in Australia: a retrospective multivariate regression analysis
  • PRIMCAT-CRC simulation model: Predicting the Population Health Economic Impact of Current and New Cancer Treatments for Colorectal Cancer: A Data-Driven Whole Disease Simulation Model for Predicting the Number of Patients with Colorectal Cancer by Stage and Treatment Line in Australia
  • Competing risk in DES methodology: Implementing competing risks in discrete event simulation: the event-specific probabilities and distributions approach
  • NSCLC treatment patterns: Real-World Treatment and Outcomes in ALK-Rearranged NSCLC: Results From a Large U.S.-Based Database

What is coming up?

Current projects that I am finalising, i.e. almost there:

  • TORCH-VIC: State-wide Victorian linked dataset for cancer research, cohort profile
  • PRIMCAT-MEL: Whole disease model for melanoma, using TORCH-VIC & clinical registry data
  • PRIMCAT-LUNG: Whole disease model for non-small cell lung cancer, using TORCH-VIC & clinical registry data
  • Distance travelled methodology: Comparing different methods of calculating travel distance from residence to place of care using TORCH-VIC
  • Distance travelled for care: Radiotherapy is a cornerstone of cancer treatment, but how much do patients travel around Victoria to receive their care?
  • Consumer-led research: Developped a model with consumers to establish a real consumer-led research project: what has (not) worked, how, and what to do next!
